Massage Oils

Massage as a healing tool has been around for thousands of years in many cultures. Touching is a natural human reaction to pain and stress, and for conveying compassion and support. Think of the last time you bumped your head or had a sore calf. What did you do? Rubbed it, right?

A massage can be very invigorating and a very relaxing experience. It is a great way to relieve exhausted and fatigued muscles. Massage and therapeutic touch help a body's physical and emotional needs. When essential oils are combined with massage, the benefits are improved.

Aromatic benefits combined with massage gives way to a very relaxing and invigorating experience. Each scent has their own effect to the mind and body, and having the right kind of massage oils will not only give you a perfect massage experience, but can also yield very beneficial effects to your body.

All oils put on the skin are absorbed into the tissue and then move through the capillaries into the blood stream. When insecticides, herbicides, fungicides are used in farming to grow seed, nut and vegetable oil crops, molecules of those chemicals show up in the extracted oil. This is why it is so important to choose oils that are pure and beneficial for us. Many of us know the importance and benefits of eating organic food, the same principles apply to what we put on our skin.

A safety reminder, though. Do not go out in the sun for at least 6 hours after using any of these oils: Ginger, lemon, orange and Bergamot, they can cause skin irritations if exposed to sun. And people with sensitive skin or in a sensitive state such as pregnancy and younger children not older than two should not be allowed to use these oils.
